我的苹果公司的手机
Well I finally made it back to my Chinese class after a couple of weeks off for the wedding followed by a busy few days at work. It was good to get back to class, but the time off has really set me back.
Determined to catch up, I have put together a short passage using all the constructions we were asked to practice this week. Instead of clothes, I’ve given my sentences a tech slant.
这是我新买的手机。你看怎么样?颜色好看吗?我买了黑色的因为商店没有白色的。我真喜欢我的苹果公司的手机因为它有中文词典。我觉得这个手机比诺基亚的手机好。
This is the phone I recently bought. How does it look to you? What about the colour? I bought the black one because the shop didn’t have the white one. I really like my mobile phone because it has a Chinese dictionary. I think this phone is better than the Nokia phones.

It has a Chinese dictionary? I might have to save my yuan and buy two for my wife and me when we move back to the states. Not enough phones in the states have Chinese input for text messages.
哈哈 我新买了个touch 感觉很舒服呢
好久没有联系啦 你还过的去吧
@Chinamatt - It doesn’t come with a build in dictionary, but there are many dictionaries available (free and paid for) in the App store.
My wife and I have different preferences when it comes to our dictionary of choice. She prefers one with more detailed English explanations and examples of how to use words. I prefer (or rather need) a dictionary that allows me to search based on Pin Yin with or without tones.
But, one of the nicest features of the iPhone is indeed the multi-lingual support. My old Nokia only supported European languages and, when I tried to have Chinese installed they told me it was too new and they hadn’t worked out how to do it yet. With the iPhone, I can use my limited Chinese to text/tweet and hopefully improve my character recognition.
@盛荣祖 - I didn’t buy the Touch, I bought the phone. I think both allow you to type Chinese.
