The Sound of China

I thought it could be to describe the places you visit by the music you hear while you are there. As an experiment, I used Shazam to tag songs I heard in shops on my recent trip to China. What do they say about the places I visited?

Home is where…?

I came across this quote by Stuart, a British Born Chinese (BBC) in Race and ethnicity: culture, identity and representation By Steve Spencer. It reminded me of the saying, “Home is where the heart is.”
I was born in England in Leicester, spent most of my life

Publican: “How much it pay?”
Worker: “£10 an [...]

Archive Tweets plugin for Wordpress

The design of the #MandarinMonday website is centred around having an archive of all tweets tagged with the hashtag #MandarinMonday. Rather than write a stand-alone script to search Twitter and archive these tweets, I decided to package it all up as a self contained Wordpress plugin. I am now sharing this plugin (my first ever [...]
